History of Horizon Development: 

Chris Anderson has been involved in real estate his entire adult life.  His father was heavily involved in investment real estate in a young emerging Arizona market that influenced Chris’ career decisions.

Chris Anderson, President and Owner of Horizon Development and Arizona Acquisitions, has been involved in the real estate industry for over 20 years. He began developing in 1984 with the building, ownership, and management of apartment units.  Over the years his projects have become larger and more successful.  To date, Chris Anderson has developed over 52 million dollars worth of retail product, which by today’s standards would probably retail in excess of one quarter Billion dollars.  More than 35 projects or developments later, Horizon Development has created a diverse upscale portfolio, rarely found amongst any other developers in Arizona.

Current Status:

Horizon Development began specializing in the development of gated custom home projects in 1995.  Horizon has produced over 12 gated estate projects already on the books, ranging as large as 8,400 acres.   There are 11 more projects on the books, in different stages of development. Horizon concentrates on finding locations that truly allow the buyer, builder or owner, the opportunity to live in pristine desert (or forest) with unparalleled views.  Horizon Development believes that community amenities are essential to the success of the project.  For this reason, Horizon adds and creates value far beyond typical subdivisions.  Many projects border park or national forest lands.  All projects feature gated entries which create security and value.  Most projects include amenities such as community clubhouses, pool or exercise courts, equestrian facilities, airparks and more.  Horizon believes that by producing a better product, in premium locations as they entitle the land, creates an advantage, value and success.

Personal:

Mr. Anderson loves Arizona and boasts 5 generations of Arizona natives. He has a passion for preservation of native desert, and open spaces, usually entitled right into all his projects.  As an avid outdoorsman, Chris enjoys his 2 Tennessee walking horses and backpacking.  His roots in Arizona go way back, as his great grandfather emigrated here in 1884 from Sweden, 28 years before AZ. had even achieved statehood.   

Mr. Anderson is married with 2 children and has served his community in the Boy Scouts of America for over 15 years. He is an alumnus of Arizona State University and a donor to the schools programs.

Mr. Anderson has received over 15 developer and real estate awards as a top producer and a commercial developer.
